Closing the gap in smartwatch experiences
Introduction
boAt is a leading consumer electronics brand in India, known for producing affordable & fashionable wireless audio products and smart wearables.
However, there was a lack of discoverability, with disconnected user flows in their ‘Crest’ application. Hence, our collaboration focused on revamping the design system of Crest for improved cohesion, while still being distinctively ‘boAt’ in visual language.

To highlight the previously underutilised features of boAt watches, we strategically overhauled the app’s architecture. By enhancing these features and optimising their placement within the application, we have substantially increased the value proposition for users.

We’ve diligently designed and enhanced the watch features, providing users with actionable lifestyle insights. “Custom Reminders” help users stay top of their routine, “Wake Gesture” streamlines interaction, “Watch Face Studio” offers personalised DIY watch faces, while “Session and Compare Insights” provide detailed progress analysis.

To increase platform adoption and foster a vibrant fitness community, we gamified the user experience and ignited a competitive spirit. ‘My Buddies’ cultivates meaningful connections with friends and fellow fitness enthusiasts, while the “Leaderboard” transforms fitness into a social adventure.
