Dive into India’s first political-stock market
Introduction
Neta 1.0 is a technology platform that enables citizens to rate and review their local leaders. These ratings keep Indian leaders accountable for the work they do and help the voters make informed choices. Neta 2.0 is a digital revamp along with a unique concept to build a progressive political ecosystem. We combined the world of politics and trading to offer people full transparency with an exciting and encouraging simulator.

Trade to aid accountability mechanisms for leaders
Ineffective leadership gives birth to the need of building accountability mechanisms for the leaders. What better way to do it than creating a trading simulation that lets the youth invest in the leaders they like. While working on Neta app, we took inspiration from both political and trading apps. Through research, we were able to create a solution that satisfies and attracts the followers of both the fields.
A digital revamp with a clean, modern, and convenient approach
Political stock market as a concept is new and it’s important to make sure people feel the excitement. Our work on the app included a distinct, modern aesthetic, while also being playful and colourful to distinguish it from real-world trading apps. The final product is an easy-to learn, yet hard-to-master trading simulation, accentuated by its distinct visual language.
Stepping stones of users into the world of Neta!
We created a beginner friendly onboarding experience aimed at familiarising users with a wealth of features, with progressive understanding of key actions and tools within the app. Furthermore, we introduced a reward program through referral amplification which offers potential for a higher conversion rate while reducing the drop-off rate.
Streamlining discoverability, from macro, to micro
In order to build credibility for both politicians and the app, the information had to be in a clear and guided layout. For users to make calculated investment decisions, the detail page was designed that showcased the entire career profile of leaders.
Furthermore, every political party also has a specific page, to ensure user trust and trading conversions.
Curating an easy-to-learn, hard-to-master political trading flow
We explored different features with aspects of gamification, with a slew of features being included to immerse users into the political-stock world. Adding a competitive angle implored users to compare and optimize their portfolio and understand nuances of trading jargons (e.g. current holding and pending orders) in a much simplified manner.
Engaging users, with an exciting rewarding system.
Competition is a good fuel for user engagement. We created in-app challenges including surveys, polls, and leaderboard to trigger a sense of competition between users and quests to drive engagement and behaviors that help users grow.
Furthermore, rewarding active participation with points or badge reward systems keeps users hooked. We also visualized leaderboard and leveling systems to ease the user in comprehending the data and keep them engaged.
